MADELYNN FELLON

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Madelynn is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist whose primary specialty is in relationship counseling.  Madelynn completed her Master’s Degree in both Clinical Mental Health and Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Holy Cross. During therapy sessions, Madelynn utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to assist clients to obtain their goals. She works hard to create a safe environment for anyone who is working towards alterations in their lives. Madelynn’s vast experience has made her become passionate about working with couples and individuals with various types of therapeutic needs such as marital issues, communication problems, infidelity, grief, depression, anxiety, and emotional regulation.

NICOLE GOLDIN

Licensed Addiction Counselor

Nicole is a bilingual Licensed Addiction Counselor, Certified Compulsive Gambling Counselor, and Board-Certified Music Therapist offering counseling and therapeutic services in both English and Spanish. Nicole completed a Master of Music Therapy degree, as well as a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy and Psychology at Loyola University New Orleans, and has been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 9 years. She applies both traditional and non-traditional clinical approaches to treatment, including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Music Therapy (MT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).  As CORE's CEO, Nicole focuses on the administration of the group practice and also offers individual counseling, domestic violence intervention, and substance use assessments. Nicole enjoys working with adults who are struggling with all forms of addiction, substance misuse, gambling, and co-occurring disorders.

PHYLLIS JACKSON

Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor

Phyllis is mental health counselor from New Orleans, LA, who studied Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Holy Cross in New Orleans. Phyllis has worked as a teacher for 12 years and has been working in the mental health field since 2016. Phyllis utilizes person-centered techniques, while implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy to assist clients in reaching their personal goals. She has experience working with families, couples, adults and teenagers with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and other mental health diagnoses. In her free time, Phyllis enjoys spending time with her husband and children, reading, and practicing the violin.

MEGAN LOOS

Licensed Professional Counselor

Megan is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose main focus is working with adults looking to improve their mental health.  Megan majored in Psychology and Sociology and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, in 2010. In 2012, she received her first Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern State University and went on to receive her second Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Loyola University in 2015. Megan approaches counseling from a Narrative theory perspective, while also utilizing techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Megan has experience with a wide range of clients and specializes in working with adolescents and adults who are involved in the criminal justice system,  as well as individuals wishing to work through anxiety, depression, anger management, ADD/ADHD, and addiction.

KIM MORRIS

Administrative Assistant

Kim is in charge of making all new clients feel welcome at CORE. Her main role is to schedule appointments and match new clients to their ideal provider. Kim's administrative duties include verifying insurance, providing intake documents, and orienting all CORE clients to our procedures and policies. Kim is the person you want to contact when needing information about our services, programs, and documentation. When she is not not working, Kim enjoy spending time with her kids, husband and 2 cats, walking the lakefront or reading a good book.

TOSCANA NAVAS

Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor

Toscana is a bilingual Provisional licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) who is trauma-informed and specializes in women's issues and family therapy. Toscana completed a bachelor's in Clinical Psychodynamic Psychology at the Universidad Central de Venezuela and also has a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Depression, anxiety, and compulsive behaviors are common symptoms that her clients have struggled with. Toscana explores clients' feelings, thoughts, and behaviors utilizing Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance & commitment therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-based practices (MBCT) to provide personal growth and symptom relief. Toscana helps her clients to lessen their experience of anxiety & depression, improve communication skills, learn new coping skills, stress management, improve relationships, learn anger management, learn how to survive child abuse or domestic violence, and manage symptoms of panic attacks.

SHANNON SEYMOUR

Counseling Intern

Shannon is an intern from the University of Holy Cross.  She will earn her Master of Arts in Counseling in 2023.  Shannon graduated from Louisiana State University in the late 90s with a degree in chemical engineering, and then spent the next 20 years raising her children.  Her interest in counseling grew over those years, as did her interest in working with adopted and foster children and their families. When she is not in school or spending time with her loved ones, she volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in the foster care system in St. Charles Parish.  In her free time, she enjoys learning new things.

ALIYAH THIBODAUX

Counseling Intern

Aliyah is a counseling intern from Harvey, Louisiana, attending the University of Holy Cross, where she will earn her Masters in Counseling in December 2022. Aliyah has been working in the mental health field for four years, and has obtained very valuable, hands-on experience with clients. Aliyah works with clients through Person-Centered Therapy and a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Aliyah believes that positive change is obtainable by every client, who is willing to put in the work needed to make positive changes within their life. Aliyah also acknowledges that life can be hard, and, through consistent work, life's struggles can take on a new meaning. She has experience working with adolescents, and individuals with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and general life issues. In her free time, Aliyah enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her puppy!

Brooke is a second-year student in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Counseling program at LSUHSC New Orleans. She attended Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans and graduated in 2017. Brooke also attended the University of New Orleans and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. Brooke enjoys volunteering and diving into a good book in her free time. Looking to the future, she plans to work as an LPC working with individuals, couples, and families.

ANDREA WRIGHT

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Andrea is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor who specialized in working with children and adolescents.  Andrea obtained her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work and has over 8 years of experience providing mental health services to children, adults and families. During therapy, Andrea uses a variety of therapeutic modalities for each individual or family but has a primary background in cognitive behavioral, strengths-based, and solution-focused approaches, play therapy, and attachment-based interventions. Andrea supports individuals and families in meeting their goals by providing a safe and non-judgmental space to work together through trauma, PTSD, grief, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, gender identity, LGBTQ+ sexual orientation, and navigating life transitions.
